We
have an immediate need for a Developer with C#, .NET 3.x, ASP.NET and SQL
Server experience with WPF, WCF and SOA. The ideal candidate will have a
strong background in a variety of different development scenarios – front
end, database and middle tier. The right candidate needs to have strong
database design skills as well as strong SQL skills to complement their .NET development
skills. This position is a 6 month contract with strong possibility for
renewal and will reside in Hartford, CT.
The
ideal candidate will have very good communication skills, be able to interface
with the business on a consistent basis and be able to translate business
requirements into robust scalable solutions that are user friendly. The
candidate must have full lifecycle development experience as well as excellent
skills in designing and architecting robust solutions.

Requirements
- Programming
- 7+ years of development experience
with a .NET environment
- Technical
skills must include .NET 3.0 or later, C#, ASP.NET, T-SQL, SQL Server
2005+ and utilization of Web Services
- 5+ years of experience developing
in SQL Server with a strong knowledge of T-SQL
- Any experience with WCF, WPF, SOA and SharePoint is highly valued
- Any related certifications are a
strong bonus
- Analysis & Design
- A solid understanding and
appreciation for Object Oriented Programming and Design Patterns
- Strong knowledge and experience
utilizing UML for analysis and design
- 5+ years experience with
Relational Database Design and a solid understanding of Normalization
- Soft Skills
- Ability to work independently and
take ownership of responsibilities and follow through on tasks
- Ability to provide mentoring and
support to other team members
- Willingness to receive input and
work in a team environment
- Willingness to work in a very fast
paced environment with very tight deadlines
- Any insurance experience will be
add significant weight to a candidate’s resume
